I’m not surprised Ed Sheeran is fine with Macklemore using his stadium stage to chant “Free Palestine” and scream “apartheid” and “genocide.”
It seems everyone has forgotten that in a 2017 press interview he said: “I love Corbyn. I love everything Corbyn is about.” That’s the same Jeremy Corbyn whose Labour Party became the first ever sanctioned for antisemitism.
In that interview, Sheeran also said: “People buy my records to put on while they make out. I’m not Mr Political… nobody buys my records going, ‘I wonder what he thinks about politics?’”
Wrong, Ed.
They do. And some of us will stop buying them going forward.
