UPDATE: In July, a 41-year-old Muslim came out of the toilet mid-flight on an easyJet plane from London Luton to Glasgow and started screaming these exact bomb threats and Islamist slogans at passengers and crew.
Passengers jumped in immediately, tackled him to the floor in the aisle, and pinned him down until the crew diverted the flight for an emergency landing in Glasgow, where police boarded and arrested him on the spot.
AS OF TODAY: He was charged only with assault and recklessly endangering the aircraft - no terrorism charges whatsoever, despite the full “Allahu Akbar” routine and bomb threat.
Family says he has schizophrenia and other mental health disorders.
There is zero public update on any court outcome, sentencing, or release.
Abhay Nayak may very well have faced little to no real consequences thanks to the mental health excuse, but this guy should NEVER be allowed on a plane again.
