Jews legally bought land from Ottomans and Arabs, revived Hebrew after 2,000 years, built Tel Aviv from sand dunes in 1909, drained malaria-infested swamps, rebuilt ancient cities like Jerusalem and Tiberias, survived pogroms and the Holocaust, and fought off five Arab armies in 1948.

This is what it took to create Israel.

And it continues to stand as a beacon against great evil in the world.
