BREAKING: A federal judge has ruled that targeting the Star of David is “as racially motivated as the N-word,” after a Jewish activist was allegedly choked by CODEPINK member Janine Ali during a pro-Hamas protest in the U.S. Capitol. The activist, Kimmara Sumrall, was wearing an Israeli flag around her neck when Ali allegedly yanked it from behind, choking her. The court found this was “direct evidence of racial discrimination” and granted a stay-away order. This is the first known post–Oct 7 case using the 1866 Civil Rights Act to address antisemitic violence. This may set a big precedent for dealing with antisemitic attacks on Jews around the country.
